Some other RAW converter programs will accept LX3 files but do not apply the distortion correction. A few examples of non-correction being Raw Therapee, Picasa3, and FastStone Viewer. There are more but also this situation may change as software writers catch up to what's happening in the cameras.

Oct 13, 2008 · When the Adobe DNG Converter is updated to support the LX3 you can run the converter on your raw images to create a DNG that will be compatible with CS3. The converter is free. Bit it only converts .. You can let Silkypix do at least a modicum of editing of a RAW first - maybe a bit of initial edit here will be a good starter...THEN get a TIF out of it and then use LR2 ..

Regarding the lack of raw support for the LX3: I guess by “business” Tom H means “any opportunity we can force consumers to buy a whole new product instead of offering even minor support for a perfectly usable existing product, we will do so”. CS3 is not that old, and completely, wonderfully still perfectly usable to most of its users.

Jul 09, 2008 · Lightroom, or Camera Raw/Photoshop must convert the LX3 raw files into the DNG format (Adobe's universal version of Raw) before they can work with them. Lightroom etc does not work with the LX3 raw files directly. Adobe makes vague suggestions that this is a poor idea at this time for some reason, but it works.
