Jan 01, 2013 · Based on experience in reviewing both full scale testing and pendulum tests of breakaway supports, we do not see how pendulum testing can answer those questions. The old “rule of thumb” limiting luminaire supports to 1000 pounds cannot be relied upon because vehicle structures have changed and MASH now requires the pickup truck be used.

Oct 04, 2007 · Exception No. 2 applies to luminaires and boxes (the PPH) used for luminaire support. However, upon further inspection, it does say "unbroken length(s)" of conduit. The "length(s)" says to me a single conduit is allowed, but my other issues of length and size would remain violations. Any more opinions would be greatly appreciated.
