Apr 26, 2010 · I understand Trim is an ATA7/ATA8 command so really depends on the SSD having firmware to accept and interpret that command. Runcore ProIV ZIF PATA SSD - has Win7 trim support with firmware 1819 or newer. Photofast V4 ZIF PATA SSD - no Win7 trim support, but has hardware based garbage collection.

Oct 25, 2017 · Trim is supported on Macs with Angelbird drives - because Angelbird uses firmware that replicates Apple's own firmware. Thus, Angelbird brand drives support trim by default on Apple systems, same as Apple factory SSDs - no software is needed for that. Angelbird is the only company that does, outside of Apple.
