Nov 21, 2017 · In OSMC interface i go to “Pi Config”=>“Hardware support”=>“Enable LIRC GPIO support”, it have set input (18) and output (17) gpio pins. Then i had using “irrecord” to read signals from my TV remote control and created new LIRC config file. Then i enabled this new config through OSMC=>“Remotes”

Dec 31, 2018 · gpio-ir-recv should be available but I never heard of gpioplug-ir-recv before. Usually gpio-ir-recv gets it's configuration (gpio, rc table) from devicetree and relies on proper pinmux/gpio setup via devicetree as well - this is what RPi and Rockchip are doing. I'm not familiar with the Odroid C2 so maybe someone else has an idea and can chime in.

Jul 27, 2016 · Not sure how to do this thought. I have tried disabling lirc in myOSMC before I did the ‘sudo apt-get -f install’ command above to try and repair the damage. At this moment, lirc option is enabled again, and I have changed the GPIO OUT option to use GPIO 4 instead of the default pin

LIRC is a mature and stable open source library that provides the ability to send and receive IR commands. Thanks to the contributions of ar0n, LIRC support is now included by default in the latest version of Raspbian OS.

Power the IR receiver from the GPIO and use one of the GPIO ports to pass the signal to the RPi. By default the driver uses PIN12 (GPIO18) this can be configured with the gpio_pin parameter. ( ex.: modprobe lirc_rpi gpio_pin=0 this will configure the driver to use PIN3, check GPIO pinouts here)
