Hi. Apple has dropped the support of PowerPC apps from Lion operating system in which a software emulator called Rosetta does not work. In previous versions of Mac OS X, it was supported, but not in Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8.

Jan 13, 2013 · Lion does not support PowerPC apps; if you wish to return to Snow Leopard and have the install DVD, you can do so. Please note that you must erase your hard drive, so you need to make sure to have a complete backup.
