Jun 22, 2009 · The editor Vim supports Unicode natively. If your X or console keymap is set up to enter unicode characters via the keymap, it will work fine in Vim. Alternatively, there are two other ways of entering these characters. The slow way is just to use their hex code.

Oct 05, 2006 · As we all know that linux supports Unicode. But in linux ( and in glibc) unicode charecter is represented by 4 bytes. But I want 2 byte unicode support under Linux( like Windows). And also wants to know that is there are any string manipulation functions in glibc those supports 2 byte unicode strings. Please give me some positive inputs.
