    We are using 3 E4200 v1's as APs. We put them in "bridge mode" and connect them to the gateway router using the E4200's WAN port. This is the correct way to do it when using "bridge mode". Otherwise you are correct, use LAN to LAN so they can/will be on the same subnet.

    I am curious about the statement "do not connect Lan to Lan if in Bridge mode. I had two E4200 V1 boxes set up as an Access Point to extend coverage in my house. I was set up Lan to Lan. The Linksys support group told me to set the Internet Connection Type on the second (AP) router as Automatic Configuration - DHCP instead of Bridge mode.
