I have a SQL Server 2012 instance with a linked server pointing to a db2 database on an IBM Iseries system using the System i Access ODBC Driver. I'm trying to enable distributed transactions. I believe this provider does support them as per IBM documentation (unless I'm misunderstanding that link). I'm running the following query:

Hello, When you insert data from SQL Server into a linked server, then a distributed transaction should be started and here it seems this fails.. If the provider does not support ITransactionLocal, INSERT statements are allowed only if the Non-transacted updates option is set for that linked server and if the statement is not in a user transaction.
