May 25, 2016 · The situation for libusb under Android is a bit unfortunate (nobody came up to libusb mailing list and offer to help to sort out the issue). Before that is sorted out, I guess to go back to the Android native USB Host API is the way to go.

The libusb can perform larger requests and now I am trying to integrate it using Android NDK. I succeeded to compile libusb sources for Android and even initUSB() , but libusb_open(dev, &dev_handle) returns -3 (Access denied).

Jan 04, 2013 · 3) Pass the file descriptor to the ported libusb code. I had to change the libusb code slightly to accept a file descriptor instead of trying to open its own descriptor. Once that's complete, I was able to make use of libusb w/o issue. As far as I know, this is the only way to get isochronous USB support on Android.
