Based on gecko 1.8, kompozer only supporte html4.01 and xhtml1 for now. Support of html5 will come with kompozer 0.9 which will use gecko 1.9.3.

Apr 18, 2018 · KompoZer, is a free cross-platform WYSIWYG editor worth looking at despite the fact that it has not been updated for a very long time. Note though that KompoZer lacks support for features like HTML5 or CSS3 that were introduced after the last version of the HTML editor was released.

I am looking for a good free HTML5 and CSS3 supported IDE. I also like a IDE that has WYSIWYG. I liked Amaya and KompoZer but they are both older IDE's and do not have HTML5 support.
