Jan 27, 2014 · As it stands now with KMix and PulseAudio, the user has only seconds or less to readjust the system sound volume stream depending on the length of the sound being played. There also should be an option to pull up the full ALSA Mixer without having to disable or uninstall PulseAudio, or install a mixer from a different desktop environment.

Jul 28, 2013 · Hi! I use the recent kde version and pulseaudio; I want to use kmix for switching output device, as it is possible with pavucontrol. My issue is that the pulseaudio integration doesn't seem to work properly right when booting linux, but it only works after quitting and re-opening kmix.

Mix it up. Hot on the heels of my Phonon PulseAudio integration, here is another set of patches for kdemultimedia that adds PulseAudio support to KMix \o/. Quick screenie before a more detailed description: What does this mean? Well it means you will typically get three or four tabs in KMix that represent (in order), "Playback Devices", "Capture Devices", "Playback Stream" and "Capture Streams".
