Used these for installing some upper cabinets by putting this support above the bottom kitchen cabinets and jacked the top cabinets up using this. It is not actually a jack and does not have jacking power, but does jack some and most helpful. I used to use wooden home made stands for this, but those are not adjustable where these are.

The support I use is my long 3/4" pipe bar clamps. Make a foot for the pipe to rest on (in case the floor is finished), remove the screw end and use the sliding foot to hold the cabinet up. It works for me with or without the lower cabinets in place. It doesn't take up any extra space, either.
