Jul 14, 2012 · I bought a used galaxy note and tried upgrading to ics but i keep getting this msg : your device does not support upgrading via kies. The it ask me to confirm firmware version which i have using *#1234#. My phone shows correct version. Android version 2.3.6, kernel 2.6.35.11 build gingerbread.ucla1.

Feb 20, 2012 · With Samsung Star 2 connected to your pc, go to device manager and check if there is a yellow exclamation mark icon next to "android MTP". if yes right click on it and uninstall, reboot windows, reconnect samsung. if still do not work perhaps you have to hard reset phone, prior backup your phone files since they will erased by hard reset.
