There only 4 kernels here, the stock, spz0's oc kernel which is only in his rom OA, Req's oc kernel for the CM7 beta and stock++, and pressy5pie's kernel that is simply req's oc kernel with added frequencies to further overclock.

Swap does not actually increase the RAM. All about linux Swap - if you are thinking about using swap, I figured you should know what it is and what it does. Android does support virtual memory concept. And Android kernel does support swap.You can confirm it by looking up "CONFIG_SWAP=y" in the .config file of kernel source. But enabling swap should also use a swap partition and run "swapon". So, though the kernel support SWAP, the android kernel don't use it.

Mar 15, 2012 · I tried to do that in the linux chroot by creating a swap file but I got a message that my system does not support such an option. I also tried the swapper application from android market but it did not work. I have a swap partition together with my Ext3 partition for A2SD (I have a 16GB SD card). However, I am not sure how the system uses it.
