Jun 27, 2008 · I spent all of last week getting joomla running on an older NT server now to find out that I need to move everything to a window 2003 server. I setup everything the same way and now I am back to the Pre Installation Check which tells me there is no MySQL Support.

Mar 04, 2009 · I installed mysql server(5.0.77) from mysql.com and I installed, configured and create a database in terminal. In terminal mode I checked that my mysql server is running but joomla can't detect or support this mysql. may be I missed php-mysql package or any code for which that mysql doesn't support.

Hi, i'm trying to install Joomla in a virtual server i created. Everything goes fine (i upload and unzip the joomla file without any problem) but when it comes to the preinstallation check that joomla does it shows me MYSQL SUPPORT - NO, when in fact i have mysql installed and i'm able to manage it, since i created through webmin the database that will be used.
