    Technically JMeter does not record Java Applet's behavoiur and only records web requests and responses to the server. But if you are persist on modeling what the web page is doing with applet you should do something like this: Record all the requests ; Copy the java applet's jarfile into the lib folder of Jmeter.

JMeter doesnt run the applet - but the things relevant to a load test (applet -servlet communication or invoking webservices etc) i.e. where the applet makes a call to something can be simulated in JMeter .Parameterisation of these calls may be simple or difficult but that depends on whatever your applet is doing..
