Saxon 9 EE/PE can be used with Java 1.7 to have XSLT 3.0 support. I don't think Oracle has any support for XSLT 3.0. IBM has XSLT 2.0 support in Webshpere I think, I don't know whether they have any extension to deal with JSON data or already have made an attempt to support XSLT 3.0.

My question was whether your preferred IDE, JDeveloper, also supports Java 8 as well or whether Java 8 development can only be done in OEPE for WLS 12.1.3+ at present.
