Jan 05, 2012 · The other thing is that while iTunes can burn CD-Text on to a disc, it cannot and never has been able to read CD-Text. iTunes instead uses Gracenote CDDB to lookup track information. Not so much a hint as pointing out a new feature that isn't listed on the iTunes overview page: iTunes 7 supports burning CD text (only about five years too late). On the Burning tab in iTunes' preferences, there is now an option to 'Inlcude CD Text' when burning a music CD.
