Aug 07, 2006 · I have never had a distro fail to find my ethernet connection with or without the router, but when I had a USB broadband adaptor, Slackware couldn't recognize it and it took some setting up. So I wouldn't recommend any kind of USB connection to the broadband modem, the Linux support is patchy. Ethernet 10/100 support is solid. Hope this helps.
