May 11, 2011 · Hi, Whe are trying to get ipsec to work on our ubuntuserver 10.10 When starting ipsec it says : ipsec_setup: Starting Openswan IPsec 2.6.26... ipsec_setup: No KLIPS support found while requested, desperately falling back to netkey ipsec_setup: NETKEY support found. Use protostack=netkey in /etc/ipsec.conf to avoid attempts to use KLIPS.

Jan 03, 2012 · I tried to install Openswan into Gargoyle with no luck. Openswan installed but can't run. I got: ipsec_setup: No KLIPS support found while requested, desperately failing back to netkey. ipsec_setup: Even NETKEY support is not there. aborting. I guest KLIPS and NETKEY are not supported in Gargoyle kernel.
