Apple's raw-supporting DAM/raw converters (iPhoto & Aperture) occasionally throw up this message for usually no discernible reason and with no real solution (except if the specific camera model is not supported, which in your case would only apply to raw files from your 7D II, see below).

Jul 24, 2012 · (1) Since you mention Lightroom and PS6, I assume the version of iPhoto is on a Mac and not on an iPad/iPhone. And yes iPhoto and Aperture both support and read the ORF files off the EM5 without any problems. (At least I have not had any issues.) Apple handles RAW updates as part of system updates - not an individual updates to the programs.

fact remains that before this I could download NEF files from my Nikon.. now I can't and according to the spec on the Adobe site they no longer. support NEF files. I assume (again) that this is the reason I can't do this. This seems prescriptive i.e. millions of Nikon users must be in the same. frustrating straits.
