Jul 09, 2013 · On Windows 8.1 preview + Internet Explorer 11, the Javascript worked, the Vbscript did not. I reproduced the problem with another script and on another windows 8.1 installation. I didn't find any options in IE 11 that may explain this problem. And I did not find any information about the end of vbscript support into Internet Explorer 11.

May 21, 2014 · If all you need is Internet Explorer on these kiosks, try this: GPO --> User Configuration --> Administrative Templates --> System --> Custom User Interface --> set to "iexplore.exe -k <pageURL>" What this does, instead of running explorer.exe, and getting the start menu and taskbar, you instead get Internet Explorer as the UI.
