There seems to be an issue with the code that selects SDK from the list. You have both 1.6 and 1.7 defined and it selects 1.6 from Android API 7 Platform (that is the first Android SDK in the list).

I agree. It doesn't look good on a retina display Macbook Pro either. I'm also very confused by this blog post: Font rendering: Apple JDK 6 vs Oracle JDK 1.7.0_40 When I run the IntelliJ 13 EAPs with JDK 1.7.0_40-b43 (with 11pt Menlo in the editor), the font rendering looks far far from being a native OS X program (which are rendered by Quartz).

seems that the support was somewhat experimental. Has the support improved? BTW, I've been surprised to see that IDEA 7 M1b still runs on 1.5. We are not aware of any problems with running either IDEA 6 or IDEA 7 under Java 1.6. Distributed builds of IDEA will bundle JDK 1.5 until a final release of JDK 6 for Mac is made available by Apple.--

Hi there, Is there any way to enable xrender for intellij? If I do -Dsun.java2d. xrender =True with java 1.7 the text in the editor is unreadable. I want to use xrender as Intellij running over remote X (NX from nomachine) is a lot more responsive (like a loooot!!).

Apr 27, 2012 · The JDK 7 release from Oracle works only on Mac OS X Lion, and right now we don't want to restrict IntelliJ IDEA to Lion users only. We may consider fully switching to JDK 7 in the IntelliJ IDEA 12 timeframe, dependent on the adoption rates of Lion and Mountain Lion in our userbase.
