Hand editing fxml isn't really advised except for minor tweaks. So install SceneBuilder and you can edit the new fxml in SceneBuilder by right-clicking on the fxml filename in the Idea project window and choosing "Open in SceneBuilder". Aug 21, 2018 · Maven project with JavaFX does not seem to compile in InteliJ, however mvn compile works. The target in maven is 1.8, JDK for the project is JDK10 and JRE in Running config is JRE10. (everything 10.0.2 version). All classes which are missing are present in JDK10. Do you have some hint how to fix this? IntelliJ IDEA 2018.2 (Ultimate Edition)

Note that IntelliJ IDEA on Mac OS X runs under JDK 6 by default, which does not include any JavaFX support. If you want to publish your plugin developed using JavaFX, it will be unavailable for a large portion of the IntelliJ IDEA user base.

Oct 22, 2018 · Hi! Have you noticed any problems in Intellij Idea connected with the newest JavaFX and Java 11(I have got both of them)? I mean, I found in a few pages that beginning from Java 11 there will be no JavaFX "inside" it, which cause that it is going to be standalone.
