Oct 16, 2014 · Exactly, not that is actually matters, a traditional HDD can't even saturate a SATA 3Gbps connection. Native SATA 6 Gbps support didn't come around until Sandy Bridge (2nd gen core i), so anything older will be 3 Gbps and anything newer will support 6 Gbps on some or all SATA ports.

I just put a X9100 3.067GHZ Core 2 Duo in my cheapy Dell Vostro laptop with generic intel graphics. It has a GM45/GM47 chipset. And now it runs even cooler than it did with a T9400! Yes the X9100 is a 45 Watt CPU while every other CPU that you can use in this is a 35 Watt. It's supposed to work with the PM45 chipsets as well.
