    Specifically, the Intel compiler is installed under ~/intel rather than systemwide (due to low disk space[1] and the byzantine nature of the Intel compiler installation on Ubuntu[2].) Could it be that Photran/Helios is not detecting the Intel compiler since the compiler is not in the normal path?
