Dec 06, 2017 · BEST ANSWER: Hi,I am Leon's wife.He doesn't do computers.He used the hinge on a child's toy box.yo\Y]ou have to close the lid.You will need two of them.One on each side.He also used a piano hinge.You weigh the lid so that you no what size to get.He weighted himself and then weighted himself with the lid.The hinges are made so children don't get hurt.Hope this helps.edith4.3/5(59)

Nov 18, 2011 · I just finished building a toy box this week. I ordered 2 of the toy box lid supports from Rockler, both mount to the back wall of the box and up to the lid. I went directly by their installation instructions, but I didn’t realize the instructions are for a 3/4” back wall.
