I used to work for the jobcentre (please dont hate me, lol). You will be able to make a claim for income support as a top up to incapacity benefit. Ask your local jobcentre for the new claims number, even if they say you cant claim, you are legally entitled to put in a claim and a decision maker will decide if you get income support or not.
