Feb 13, 2011 · HEnRy how you Doing!! henry i added my dns server adress in etc/resolv.con then after that i tried to installl pidgin and it was done.but it tried with different mirrors as you can see in the output..why it happens ?why it doesnt fetch rpm from specific mirror.

Oct 03, 2018 · Thanks for the reply. I used plain ftp (FileZilla) to download the directory to my PC and then uploaded it to IFS on one of my IBM i. I have tried the ACS and the utility to download the directory to an local repo, but that didn't work either.

Oct 11, 2013 · I suggest to check the repomd.xml to make sure you have right permissions, etc. If the file is fine, the problem could be compatibility. Since it is necessary to use -s sha to create a yum 5 repository using OL 6 createrepo for backward compatibility, perhaps it is reasonable to assume a yum 5 repository is not forward compatible with yum of your OL 6 system.
