Jan 31, 2009 · It's covered in iMovie '09 help under "Making a backup copy of the contents of your camcorder". iMovie '08 did not import AVCHD clips unless they were stored on the camcorder. iMovie '09 added an "Archive All" button in the camera dialog that copies the raw files from the camcorder into an archive file on your hard disk.

Apr 01, 2009 · Interesting, so HD video (AVCHD) will be converted to Apple format (AIC) by way of having iMovie '09 do so. Basically iMovie 09 can import from any HD Camcorder that has AVCHD assuming its from an HD camcorder that's listed on the compatibility chart published on the iMovie 09 Apple support website.

Jan 28, 2009 · Honestly, I think you can easily create a visual timeline with iMovie 09. It’s just a matter of perspective, as you can think about the events in the timeline, rather than the timeline itself. I am also an owner of Premiere Pro CS4 which is a fantastic and very rich NLE app. Thankfully both iMovie 09 and Premiere Pro CS4 support my AVCHD camera.

Dec 03, 2019 · My copy of iLife '09 arrived this afternoon. Couldn't wait to install it, get the 8.03 update for iMovie and try some AVCHD lite from my ZS3. All that went fine. Then, I copied some AVCHD lite files called .MTS into a folder on my desktop. These are the same files I've used to create movies using Sony Vega Studio Platinum Pro 9 on the PC side.
