Mar 07, 2016 · Ignite gives you tremendous kill pressure in lane and can be useful for additional damage/finishing up kills in the late game. I generally opt for Exhaust over Ignite if the enemy is highly dependent on Attack Speed or if they have someone like Zed who can easily get in, burst my ADC and then get out again.

Mar 30, 2017 · Exhaust lost power in the bottom lane after they removed the AS slow from it, it's still a good spell but less disruptive against an ADC opening the possibility to run ignite instead. Ignite is good for kill pressure and later used to get the jump on a sustain champions like Vlad and Swain that are making their appearance in the competitive meta.

Mar 07, 2016 · Ignite is great if you're playing an aggressive support with a strong level 2 all-in, such as Leona, Blitzcrank, or Thresh. An all-in with Ignite added on top should mean a first blood or at least blown Summoners, giving you a huge advantage. However, I still find myself taking Exhaust more often than not, even on those aggressive champs.

As long as you are in low elo, I would recommend always going Ignite, since the chances of you completely wasting exhaust because of bad timing is pretty high. Also Exhaust isn't always super good against Assassins. Especially Rengar/Kha/Zed (if he is fed) tend to just kill your teammate with one combo if they have bad positioning.

Dec 30, 2013 · I usually take exhaust if they are really reliant on auto attacks like against a vayne for example. In teamfights though, exhaust is better since it can be used to shut down ADC for a while or it can be used to peel for your ADC.

Aug 09, 2014 · If you really want to run ignite bot to increase your kill potential, slap it on the support instead of exhaust. Supports can still ignite key targets / high regen tanks in teamfights (especially tanky melee supports like Leona or Thresh); you do lose exhaust to increase your chances in lane, so that's a gamble, but it works if done properly.
