Jan 14, 2011 · AFAIK savevm command will create qcow2 snapshot, not lvm snapshot, it does not work with lvm or any disk images other than plain file image with qcow2 format. To do lvm snapshot You must do it on the proxmox host using vzdump.

That means that Qemu does NOT write to the harddisk. If you want to write your changes to the harddisk to can switch to the Qemu CLI with the key combination ctrl-alt-2 and issue the Qemu command "commit ide0-hd0" any time you like (see the Qemu documentation for details).

Jul 17, 2005 · bios will allow you to boot from any device regardless of the age of the bios, it just mite not look like its written in english lol, the option would either be BOOT DEVICE - HDD > FLOPPY > CDROM > or could be BOOT First - IDE0 (HD0) > IDE1 (HD1) > CDROM > 3.5Inch FLOPPY > Other the options depend on what hardware is installed

Does this mean that something went wrong with the importing? I imported the file using VMware Converter 3.0.2u1.

Feb 04, 2005 · It works fine loaded onto my IDE0 disk - sees the IDE's as HD0 and HD1 and the RAID (SATA 3&4) as HD2. Creates partitons (it allows more than 4 Primaries per disk !) okay but after installing Windows XP on the RAID (with boot files on HD0 - as XP insists on doing this if it sees another disk as HD0 !!) it does not boot XP.
