Jan 08, 2019 · I installed JM363 AHCI drivers for winxp now it's on SATA hd JM363 AHCI mode, and the Mac OS X SATA on ICH8 in AHCI mode. If I manage to get Mac OS working with JM363 I plan to install winXP on the same drive just to be able share files. If anybody knows how to install winXP on SATA ICH8 in AHCI mode let me know.

Most other models in the M55 family support AHCI except for the 8810 (I've been locked in a discussion with Lenovo for weeks now on why they removed AHCI from the 8810), so obviously it's better to use AHCI then non-AHCI + ICH8 patched ata_piix.o.. Jul 26, 2010 · A lot of people (it seems to be quite a common problem) who have this problem suggest upgrading to Intel Matrix Storage Manager latest version but these drivers don't support ICH8 (Only ICH8R). From what I understand, ICH8 was designed run AHCI natively with Vista and does not require enabling AHCI in BIOS.
