Jan 16, 2013 · Hello, I want to run a Virtual machine using Hyper-V and be able to support and use the LTO Tape Drives, which are using SCSI. I want to create a VM of Server 2003 on a Server 2008 machine in order to access the LTO Tape Drives.

May 03, 2017 · The plan is to move an LTO 4 tape drive from the 2008 server and place in the 2016 box. The 2016 Server is going to be setup with server core and run 2x VM's. Would the VM's be able to see the tape drive and will Veeam be able to see the drive so it can be used as a backup program?

Feb 27, 2016 · I cannot seem to add/attach the Tape library to my Backup server and I cannot find and the Tape Library listed in the Settings… > Add Hardware in Hyper-V Manger for the Backup Server VM. What can I do to get my tape drive ‘attached’ and functioning on my Backup Server so that I can begin backing up my data?
