I had the same problem this past weekend - 3 yr old m7760n would not turn on. LED is glowing green, but nada. In the middle of some work so had to replace the computer, but intend to try the steps mentioned here over the weekend. I will say this HP has been problemaic from day 1, and had to be repaired while under warranty.
