Hi. No DL380 G4 is not certified for windows 2008 r2 by HP. Only windows 2008 . check the following site for which servers are supported. To view older servers click the small "previous servers" link after choosing the OS.

Oct 20, 2011 · If HP said Window Server 2008 R2 is not supported on HP DL380-G4, you will get no support from HP if you do want to install Windows Server 2008 R2 on it. Re: DL380 G4 and Windows 2008 R2 That server is still supported for the things which were developed and released previously, but it would be more strange for HP to continue to develop and test new Supportpaqs for servers which have been out of production for several years.
