Hi! I had a hp 6720s with celeron processor, and every manual about my notebook suggested that it will newer support core 2 duo. I've installed Core 2 Duo T7300 (I've checked that my celeron was Socket P - 478-pin Micro FCPGA, the same as core T7300) at FSB 800Mhz, and it is working at full speed, without any problems, or freezes, or anything.
