Oct 21, 2016 · Thanks for the help, but it didn’t work on my pc, searching in some forums i found a solution that worked very well for me: You can use Windows to specifically tell the Chrome program not to do DPI scaling using the steps: Right-click the Chrome icon > Properties > Compatibility > and CHECK “Display display scaling on high DPI settings”.

Aug 27, 2014 · Google has released Chrome Stable 37 yesterday and with it came a new feature to improve font rendering on Windows. The text rendering was switched from Graphics Device Interface (GDI) to DirectWrite in Chrome 37 and while the majority of users did not report any issues, some users noticed that contents looked zoomed in and kinda blurry in the browser.

Then when Chrome 37 fixed the problem for all of you by matching the dpi (but mismatching the resolution), it made my Chrome 37 really big and blown up, because my Windows dpi was already larger, at 125%. When I reset that to 100%, Chrome 37 looks perfectly fine now.

Nov 15, 2016 · Chrome v54 fixed a "bug" that caused it to ignore Windows user preferences for DPI scaling. This means that users who have set nonstandard DPI scaling in Windows (Medium=125% or Larger=150%) will now have the Chrome UI scale from the previous default of 100% to match their larger Windows scaling causing their everything in their Chrome browser to appear larger than before.
