Left4Dead requires texture compression but support was not detected. I'm playing on mac, the game was working fine yesterday, and today when I tried to run it I get this issue. It links to a steam support page but that only gives isntructions for a few gpu's and that's only for windows.

Note that in this one both the dri and glx modules are loaded; the first article I linked to states not to do this and to only load the glx one. I had only enabled the glx module, so I don't know what the result would be if you loaded them both.
