You would have to use an external program like Xpadder to map it button by button. Unless you absolutely have to have a controller, I would stick with mouse and keyboard.

Jan 26, 2013 · I have been using a joystick to play FPS games since Duke Nukem and Redneck Rampage. Back in those days I used the hat switch to look up and down, but when newer games started supporting multiple devices at once such as Forsaken, Unreal, and Half-Life, I started using a trackball in conjunction with the joystick.

Aug 24, 2006 · Well the 360 controller is the best one to set up cause it's just USB and it finds the drivers from the internet and it's all good. I'm just disapointed that Half Life doesn't just have gamepad support as standard, seems like a simple thing to have on a really good and modern game. oh well. Thanks for the help guys :cheers:
