Google announced in May that they would remove IE6/IE7 support in GWT 2.6 (coming December this year) and remove IE8 support in GWT 3.0. I understand the reasons of this choice, I support it, and I'm not here to argue about it. People that make the effort to stay up-to-date don't want to have a slow GWT because of people who don't.

Jun 10, 2015 · Yes, GWT 2.7 supports IE11. IE11 will use the gecko1_8 permutation (unless in some compatibility mode in which case it'll use the corresponding ie10, ie9 or ie8 permutation). If you have specific problems, please discuss them on the forum [1] first and then if it happens that there's a bug then only file an issue here.

Not sure if this is the place to add this but just wanted to pass on my finding related to IE10 browser support. I ran into an issue with GWT cellTables and cellTrees using IE 10. When hovering over a row we used hovering styling for that row which worked fine.
