In order to support OGL 2.0, gfx driver should provide Installable Client Driver (ICD) which is responsible for interacting with OGL apps (through Windows Opengl32.dll) to Gfx HW. There are also news that GMA500 team has started working on OGL 2.0 support, but will it be for GMA500 or later thats unkown.

Jun 14, 2011 · The upshot: there is no OpenGL support in the drivers for the GMA 500, and apparently no commitment that there ever will be, even though the hardware is capable of it (and is advertised as supporting it). If you are considering a system with GMA 500 graphics (US15W chipset), be aware there's no OpenGL.
