I was excited to read that progress is being made on LFS support in EGit, and indeed I've confirmed - using a nightly build - that I can now check out a repository configured for LFS via the Eclipse UI and have it fetch the large files successfully.

It does not look like there is a Git plugin for Eclipse that supports git-svn yet. EGit appears to be the most active and popular Git plugin for Eclipse at the moment and it does not support git-svn, but there isn't anything stopping you from using EGit with Eclipse and interacting with git-svn via command line (or via tortoise git for example).

May 04, 2015 · I'm using the J2EE bundle of Eclipse Kepler, and I'm working with Git. I'm also using git-extension as a UI to git, and I wouldn't trade it for anything else, so for me egit is just an annoyance that brings information that I don't want on my screen.. How can I permanently remove it from eclispe ?
