GIMP does not (yet) support smart objects like in Photoshop (there's an open feature request about it), so the only way they could be imported would be by converting them into something else that GIMP does handle (most likely, a simple "dumb" layer, or a set of layers). I don't know (and have no way of testing) whether GIMP's PSD importer is smart enough to do that, but I suspect it isn't.

GIMP doesn't yet support layer comps in PSD, because it doesn't yet have this feature itself. Note that GIMP already has a tagging system for various resources (brushes, gradient etc.). It could be potentially extended to layers and thus provide a superset of what Photoshop allows, thus opening a way for layer comps support in PSD.

Ok, I actually found a PSD file that works, I guess the PSD from PSq are different in coding? Like the above maybe file encrypted to a point, prob to only work with PS? So the PSD do work perse in GIMP. This PSD is working Both on Nixxy, and Kaitlyn.
