Nov 27, 2007 · I've build successfully mplayer without 'smbclient' 'lirc-utils' 'live-media' and 'jack-audio-connection-kit' dependencies. Before executing makepkg I removed the 'smbclient' 'lirc-utils' and 'jack-audio-connection-kit' packages from my system to be shure mplayer compiles without them. The 'live-media' packages was not on my system.
