We decided to search for a 3D engine that has a Lua integration out of the box. So far I've found Leadwerks and Shiva 3D, both are commercial engines but Leadwerks is within our budget. Lumberyard by Amazon seems to have a Lua support, but it's too big for our idea. We want to make a small FPS game to test the waters.
