Mar 26, 2015 · fuse-ext2 works but is very slow (I get some 7 MB/s reading and 1 MB/s writing via USB 2.0). If you have the choice, better use Apple's HFS+ on the external drive, which is much faster (I get some 30 MB/s both reading and writing, both on Mac and Linux).3.8/5(10)

Jun 11, 2019 · If you installed fuse-ext2 in some other way, like from a .dmg file you got off the back of a github repo, you may need to edit the fuse-ext2.util file manually. (Note: this is not an endorsement of that or any other 3rd-party binary distributions of fuse-ext2.

Jun 03, 2013 · I am assuming that the cause of this behaviour is the stil-buggy read-write support in fuse-ext2. I found the exact same behaviour if I used the rw+ option instead of force. The workaround I found was to mount the drive, unmount it and remount it; all changes made during the second mount session would then persist.

fuse-ext2 is a ext2 filesystem (ext2fs/ext3fs) support for mac os x, with both read and write support. fuse-ext2 is written for mounting linux ext2 filesystem from mac osx (macfuse ext2), since source is os independent you can use it on unix distros. and of course fuse-ext2 works on linux (fuse ext2), also if anyone needs such thing ;)

BTW people, if you want to support fuse-ext2, which is an excellent "product" really, consider donating to the project. Mar 20, 2014 · Enabling EXT Write Support. While OSXFuse adds EXT read support, write support to EXT is disabled by default and probably not recommended to use at all, it’s considered experimental and unsupported by FUSE for a reason.
