Jun 13, 2011 · The opposite happened when I took the car off. The lip instead was pushed upwards (along with the bumper cover) and again, the snap or pop. It wasn't that loud and so again, I thought it was the lip just rubbing a bit and then passing the stop and nothing more. Oh well. Support rods = quick and relatively inexpensive fix.
