Am trying to use DSL as a thin client to connect to server using FreeNX client over SSH. Works great except for multimedia support (ie audio). When selecting the enable multimedia NX reports that the local audio server is not using network support. Anyone know what this means. Have added ALSA, gnu-utils etc from repositories. Thanks

Dec 05, 2013 · The CentOS wiki page says: "If you are installing FreeNX on a remote server, you will also need to install a Desktop environment on the machine in order to run the remote session." Its never explicitly stated, but does the client also need to use the same DE?
