Sep 11, 2014 · I'm planning on building a server with the feature of serving as a WIFI router. I was planning on installing the Asus PCE-AC68 (WIFI Card). My question is if it is even possible to build a WIFI hotspot over FreeNAS and will it be possible to install the drivers for this particular card on FreeNAS.

Feb 29, 2012 · FreeNAS is a minimal UNIX OS, although it'll have drivers embedded in the kernel, it'll have smaller hardware support for WiFi cards over wired LAN cards.

Does freenas support 10gbe? ... planning to get a 10gbe nic for point to point connection and connect the motherboard ethernet cable to a router via WiFi. So others can use it for plex and stuff on TV mobile or laptop. So that arrangement is possible with freenas right?
